Lake Itasca Family Bluegrass Festival 2010!!!
Hi all! A couple of weeks ago we went to the annual Lake Itasca Family Bluegrass Festival and once again really enjoyed our time there. They had a great line up of family bands, quite a few of which we knew or had played together at previous festivals. This time we went as onlookers instead of performers which was nice because it was more relaxing and we were able to enjoy listening to more of the bands. Along with listening to music this festival for our family is a great time to fellowship with the many people we know there. It makes it much more fun because at most festivals we are meeting new people; but at this festival we already know two thirds or more of every one there!
Here I've posted just a few pictures of our short concert on the open stage which Hannah Kenny (see post entitled 'Filming With Hannah') took and gave to us. Thanks for the photos, Hannah!

Kelliher Open
Our dog Shelby is afraid of the water but loves to ride in the boat.
Tessa and I took turns fishing and driving the boat. Tessa probably enjoyed the driving more because she had a fish less day!
A little fisherman.
Tessa, my cousins Jenna and Jack, Mom and I spent a lot of time playing a scrabble game called Banana Grams.
My cousin Shane with Shelby.
Some other things we did that weren't pictured were knee boarding (I did a 180 but failed (after many tries) to do a 360. Shane did like twenty something 360s in a row!) croquet, canasta, an American History game, our photo contest with the theme of transpotation of whom Aunt Kathy was the winner with a beautiful picture of boats in Vietnom, mofia, and more.
