Story Book Lodge

Storybook lodge is a camp up North that we go with our church and also our home school organization called T.E.A.C.H, that Isaac graduated with. (See graduation post from 2009.) It is a really interesting place, not only because of it's ministry, but also it's theme. Almost every cabin is a different place from a story! This post is when we went up with our church, Normandale baptist, this last weekend.

They are right on a beautiful lake, so in the Fall when we go with our church we can go kayaking, cameoing, and if the weather permits, (which it didn't this year,) swimming. With T.E.A.C.H we go in the Winter so we get a whole different experience with the lake; we play broom ball, hockey and sled onto it, so fun!

Here is one of the cutest cabins, although I'm not sure what particular story book it came from. =)

Story Book is completely surrounded by woods and in the fall it is truly a beautiful sight. It reminded me of the verse,

'As the mountains surround Jerusalem, so the Lord surrounds His people, from this time on and forever more.'

Psalm 125:2

This is the room/cabin we were staying in called the Oasis.

The windmill that actually fits a bed in it!

Ize with some of his friends, after coming back from a caneoing trip.

'Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the sons of one's youth. Happy is the man who has his quiver full of them.'

Psalm 127: 4-5

If you read the post on family camp, you'll probably know what this is all about. Dad and another man from church, Mr. Hall, put on the game called, "the Mighty Mighty, Super Duper, Noodle Scoop Challenge!" (The only part of the name that has to do with the game is the Noodle part. :) It's like a kick off of capture the flag except way more fun.

Don't we look scary! (The face paint is to tell the teams apart. There was a red team and a blue team, I was on the blue team and the blue team won!!!)

Smiles!

Myself and others were sexually abused at Story Book Lodge for years. This has been brought to their attention and they STill dont even have background checks in place. IF YOU OR SOMEONE YOU KNOW WAS ABUSED AT STORY BOOK LODGE.....PLEASE CONTACT ME AT joejoeanderson@yahoo.com or the St. Louis County Sheriffs office, and help put a STOP to child sexual abuse.
